 In Dust, Ana Craciun-Lambru uses words, puppets, objects and shadow theatre to tell two stories which intertwine and have as a background the great fire that took place at the Triangle Shirtwaist Company in 1911 in New York City: Maria, a young Romanian woman, leaves her home to work in America at the beginning of the 20th century. A hundred years later, her relative, another young woman, confronts her own decisions while re-enacting Maria’s journey through playtime in her grandmother’s attic.

 

 

 

 

في هذا العرض، توظف المخرجة (آنا لامبرو) وسائط متعددة: النصوص، الدمى، تقنيات مسرح الغرض، ومسرح خيال الظل، لتروي حكايتين تنطلقان من حادثة مشتركة، وهو الحريق الكبير الذي اندلع في شركة Triangle Shirtwaist,  في العام 1911 في مدينة (نيويورك).

في بداية القرن العشرين، تهاجر الشابة (ماريا) من (رومانيا) للعمل في (أميركا). بعد مائة عام، تواجه إحدى حفيداتها المصير نفسه، وفي سبيل عثور هذه الحفيدة على قراراتها الخاصة، تحاول استرجاع حكاية جدتها (ماريا) وإعادة رواية قصتها مجدداً

 

 

Avec “Dust”, Ana Craciun-Lambru mélange les mots, les marionnettes, le théâtre d’objets et le théâtre d’ombres pour raconter deux histoires qui s’entrelacent avec comme toile de fond le grand incendie survenu en 1911, à New York à la Triangle Shirtwaist Company.

Au début du XXème siècle, Maria, une jeune femme Roumaine, quitte son pays pour partir travailler en Amérique. Cent ans plus tard, l’une de ses descendantes, une autre jeune femme, fait face à ses propres questionnements tout en reconstituant le parcours de Maria dans le grenier de sa grand-mère.
